8. Are Alaskan Malamutes a mix with wolves?

No!

According to historians and the Mahlemut people themselves, this breed is purely a domestic dog. Wolf traits are not team traits, and the Mahlemut people needed dogs that could work as a team, as well as loving the company of humans, which wolves do not.
Malamutes have lived with humans for thousands of years, as have all Nordic dogs. While there is similarity in their striking beauty, wolves are undomesticated animals, not living with humans for thousands of years.
